Seated Head Massage

What is it?
A seated upper back, neck, shoulder, arm, scalp and face massage. This is performed in an armchair whilst fully clothed for 40 mins. (No oil used)

What are the benefits of Seated Head Massage?

What can I expect?
Relax for 40 mins in a warm room with subtle music and low lights, with or without blankets.

Chair Pilates

Chair Pilates is aimed at the ‘less mobile’ using a chair although standing exercises are done behind the chair for balance work.  We use weights, balls and bands to build up muscle tone and keep the joints mobile and supple.  The session ends with mindful relaxation in the chair.

Session is for 45 minutes – £7

As a qualified nutritionist, I believe that we all should be mindful of our diet at any age.  Thinking about what we eat and why we eat it is paramount for optimal health.

Small facts:
All carbs are reduced to glucose (sugar) and that means pasta, white bread and potatoes, which are all very high on the glycaemic index.

Sugar is addictive and adds to weight gain very quickly! This can also affect the mood, temperament and well-being.

Cholesterol is only found in foods of animal origin.  Our bodies make enough essential cholesterol to support its needs. There are 2 types of HDL (good) and LDL (bad) and the ‘good’ type helps to defeat the ‘bad’ type.  Exercise helps defeat the baddy!

Stress Therapy with CBT

Stress & worry can damage your health!  Not all types of stress are harmful but the trick is to find the correct balance so that it doesn’t rule your life!

What are the stressors in your daily routine that make your worry and feel anxious? Would you like simple ways of recognising them to minimise them?

Then try a session of Stress Therapy with CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to recognise and deal with ‘over-thinking’ and the worry that ensues using simple techniques that are practiced at home that may include ‘reaction thinking’, relaxation, mindfulness exercises and breathing techniques to name but a few.

What is Yoga-Fit?

A beginner’s class designed using yoga-style exercises that gently stretch and energise the body as a whole, finishing with relaxation designed to relax the mind.

What is Pilates Strong?

Using weights (optional) and bands to condition all parts of the body, especially legs, bums & tums!  Standing and floor work.

What is Total Relaxation?

Learn to totally relax before bedtime with simple techniques that will leave you destressed and relaxed in body and mind. Bring a mat and a blanket/pillow.

What is Chair Pilates?

Aimed at those who are less mobile and cannot get on and off the floor easily. We practice balance to prevent falls.  It is a 45 min class using bands, balls and weights in a fun and friendly environment.

What is Step Aerobics with Pilates?

Step aerobics with pilates at West Row Village Hall.  For all abilities and ages. 30 minutes of step exercises followed by 15 minutes of floor pilates. Using a shallow step for low-impact exercises and easy-to- follow routines with hand-held small weights (optional). Great fun with great music!

What do I need to bring to your classes?

Please come along in loose, comfortable clothing together with a bottle of water and a mat.

Is there plenty of parking?

Yes, there is.
